Spring City Sewer Infrastructure Improvements – Utah

Project Engineer: Sunrise Engineering
General Contractor: Inntelex LLC
Concrete Coring Subcontractor: TRS Concrete Cutting & Coring
Location: Spring City, Sanpete County, Utah

TRS Concrete Cutting & Coring was subcontracted by Inntelex LLC to perform specialized concrete core drilling and manhole modifications during multiple phases of sewer infrastructure improvements in Spring City, Utah.

Working alongside the general contractor’s excavation crews, TRS completed three separate assignments involving connections to existing sewer infrastructure.

Our work included converting an existing two-way manhole into a three-way configuration, converting a three-way manhole into a four-way configuration, and drilling 16-inch openings for new sewer connections serving a developing residential area.

These assignments also required precision elevation measurements, larger-diameter wall penetrations for pipe boots, and smaller-diameter drilling to create interior flow channels that connect with existing sewer gutters at the required grade.

The work demonstrates our experience with municipal infrastructure, underground utility construction, large-diameter concrete core drilling, and specialized sewer manhole modifications.

Additional information about Spring City’s municipal infrastructure projects is available through the Utah Public Notice Website, which publishes city council records and public project documents.

Two-Way to Three-Way Sewer Manhole Conversion

As part of the Spring City sewer infrastructure improvements, TRS Concrete Cutting & Coring modified an existing two-way sewer manhole to accommodate a third sewer connection.

Our crew performed precision concrete core drilling through the existing manhole wall to create the opening required for the new pipe connection. Using transit equipment to establish the proper elevation, we aligned the drilling with the existing interior flow channel.

The work included creating a new interior gutter to connect the additional sewer line with the existing system at the required grade, supporting proper gravity flow through the manhole.

This modification demonstrates our ability to expand existing sewer infrastructure while maintaining the alignment and elevations required for underground utility connections.

Three-Way to Four-Way Sewer Manhole Conversion

As part of the Spring City sewer infrastructure improvements, TRS Concrete Cutting & Coring was subcontracted by Inntelex LLC to convert an existing three-way sewer manhole into a four-way configuration, allowing additional homes along the street to connect to the municipal sewer system.

Our crew performed precision core drilling through the existing concrete manhole wall to create the opening for the new sewer connection. Using transit equipment to establish the required elevation, we positioned the opening to align with the existing gravity-flow sewer system.

After completing the larger wall opening for the pipe boot, we maintained the drill rig’s position and switched to a smaller-diameter core bit to extend the new flow channel toward the existing gutter.

This work demonstrates our capabilities in modifying existing municipal sewer infrastructure, accurately aligning underground utility connections, and creating additional sewer flow paths within concrete manholes.

New Sewer Development Connection – 16-Inch Core Drilling

As part of the Spring City sewer infrastructure expansion, TRS Concrete Cutting & Coring was subcontracted by Inntelex LLC to perform large-diameter core drilling for connections between a new residential development’s sewer system and the existing municipal infrastructure.

The project involved two concrete sewer manholes approximately 15–20 feet apart, with a significant elevation difference between the required connections.

Our crew initially drilled a 16-inch diameter opening into the existing sewer manhole. Once this phase was completed, the excavation contractor excavated substantially deeper between the two structures and installed protective trench shoring.

We then returned to drill another 16-inch diameter opening near the bottom of the northern manhole to accommodate the lower sewer connection.

The work also involved modifying the interior concrete flow channel to integrate the new sewer connection with the existing system at the required elevation.

This multi-phase assignment demonstrates TRS Concrete Cutting & Coring’s capabilities in large-diameter concrete core drilling, deep utility excavations, precision alignment, and specialized manhole modifications for expanding residential sewer infrastructure.
